January 4 Construction Update

Construction of the bridge superstructure near the I10 interchange is ongoing as is drainage and sewer installation along the corridor. The contractor is scheduled to pave the left roadway and construct the sidewalk between Pedrick Road and Arendell Road this week, weather permitting. The installation of temporary fencing around Pond 3E has been completed.

Thornton Road will be closed to through traffic beginning 9 a.m. EST Monday, January 9, 2012 and will remain closed to through traffic for approximately three weeks. Motorists can access Mahan Drive via Edenfield Road. Detour signs will be posted.
